Welcome to the Northop Silver Band website. We are a Championship Section band based in North Wales.

Grand Shield 2025

Another Contest completed. We are very proud of our performance of 'Dances & Arias' by Edward Gregson. Our soloists were amazing, and we are pleased to retain our place in the Grand Shield. We now reflect on an excellent start to 2025.

Marking 50 Years of Dedicated Service

During a recent concert to a packed audience at Northop Church, the band made a presentation to Eb Bass player, John Williams, for 50 years of outstanding service to the band.

Congratulations John!

The concert also saw the final performance of Principal Cornet Nerys Davies. We thank her also for her outstanding playing and contribution over the last decade.

As part of the 50th anniversary

celebrations for John,

the Bass section was joined by tuba

stars Gavin Wyn Saynor and

Chris Hardy, to add an extra bit of

tuba stardust too.

Northop Ensemble

Many thanks to the small ensemble from Northop Silver Band - Carol, Kath, Louise, Paul, John & Andrew - who recently performed a wonderfully varied selection of music from Purcell to Glenn Miller at Northop Church, in aid of their Church Clock Fund. A fantastic £224.50 was raised at this lunchtime concert, with audience comments of, "Loved it!", "Brilliant, it was over too quickly!", and "I could listen to it all over again!"
